Postpartum Doula Services
After a full year of doing only birth doula work, I’m adding back postpartum care! I know this is a huge need in our community, and I’m so excited to be in a place to provide the support families need.
You can choose day or night doula services or both! Below I've outlined a little bit about what each service might look like for you.
Day Doula $30hr
3-5 hour shifts
1-5 days a week
One on one guidance:
-Baby care
Day time sleep
Feeding (Bottle or breast)
Diapering
-Postpartum person care
Healing
Adjusting to life with baby
Postpartum mood disorders, what’s normal and when to seek help
Along with the above guidance, my job is to make sure that you are well rested and fed. Your needs will vary day to day when it comes to what is needed to ensure good sleep and nutrition. Below I’ve listed a few things I’ve done for folks in the past that make eating and sleeping realistic:
Night Doula $35hr
4-12 hour shifts
1-3 nights a week
As a night doula, my main focus is ensuring that you and your family are getting adequate sleep while I’m there, and working towards not needing me there. Below is what a typical overnight service might look like.
We start with an in depth meeting regarding what you’re hoping to get from my services, what the night time routine looks like, where you’re running into trouble and how I can help to stop the issues that are keeping your family from sleeping.
From the information gathered we come up with a plan which includes how many visits I’ll make and for how long. Often, during my first visit, I arrive a little earlier to get acquainted with your family, and your sleep set up and to see how your bedtime routine is managed. All of this will help me to set up a sleep plan that is perfect for your family.
The goal is always to move toward less and less visits and to leave you with a routine and a fully rested family. I’ve worked with families for as little as one night, and as much as 4 months 2-3 nights a week. The amount of time I spend with your family will depend on many factors and can usually be estimated after the first visit.
Whether you choose day or nighttime support or a little of both, having a postpartum doula will allow you to better enjoy your postpartum period and transition into parenting with excitement!
Please, schedule a call with me so that we can discuss whether or not these services are right for you and so that I can answer all of your questions

- Caring for baby while you nap or take a shower, or while you just have some much needed time to yourself
- Making a healing herbal bath for you to soak in
- Making a nutritious meal and time to eat it,
- Preparing small snacks to be consumed when I’m not there.
- Preparing a meal to eat while I care for baby or do light housework.
