But Why?
If you've made it this far, you likely already know that placenta contains your pregnancy hormones to help with extreme hormone crashes postpartum & loads of minerals and vitamins to help restock your body during this crucial healing time. There isn't a lot of research regarding the consumption of placenta in the postpartum, but many anecdotes that show that it has been useful medicine for some.
What can I expect?
The whole process takes 24 hours from start to finish. Phase one is steaming and dehydrating. Phase two is making the pills. This will require two visits to your home. I utilize your home in order to reduce the spread of pathogens from my space to yours, I disinfect the work area with bleach (if you do not prefer bleach in your home, please let me know), I practice excellent hand hygiene by thoroughly washing and wearing gloves at all times while handling your placenta from beginning to end, I do not reuse supplies that come in direct contact with raw placenta, and I sterilize items that come in direct contact with dehydrated placenta after every use.

Your jobs will be to let me know if at any time you find out your placenta is not edible (see list below), contact me once your placenta is ready, and to make sure the placenta is kept refrigerated.

Reviews
Megan was very nice and helpful with my decision to encapsulate my placenta. She answered all questions throughly and was patient when I had to stay a little longer at the hospital. Very professional and prompt!
