This class is designed for those who desire a vaginal unmedicated birth. It contains elements that explain varies interventions that may occur should you or your baby need them as well as an incredible amount of content regarding how your body works with your baby during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. We will cover how to have the smoothest birth with the least amount of pain possible.
We have packed this course with all of the knowledge we have about pregnancy, birth and postpartum, with a combination of attractive slide shows, open discussion, activities to get you moving around and connecting with your partner, short animations, live demos, and sometimes special guests!
The goal is to give you all the information you could need to have a satisfying birth no matter how it goes, and making an unmedicated vaginal birth the priority. Below is an outline of what the 8-week series will look like

Each day starts with a recap of the week before and clarifying anything from the previous week. Each topic will have its own slide show followed by time for discussion. Each topic has handouts.
Students are asked to bring a journal and something to write with

About the Doula
Megan is our childbirth educator, birth doula, sleep facilitator and consultant. Her background is in massage therapy, has studied with several certifying bodies including Body Wisdom School of Massage, Birth Advocacy Doula Training, and Sleep Wonders.
Megan has experienced a hospital birth as well as an unassisted home water birth. Her passion for supporting maternal mental health stems from her own experience with postpartum depression and anxiety, and her mission is to help prevent, minimize symptoms and provide support to those suffering.
